116,000 ballots to be printed for December 5 runoff vote

The Central Election Commission started to print ballots for the mayoral runoff vote that will be held in six communities on December 5. There will be printed a total of 115 931 ballots, IPN reports.

As many as 102 105 ballots will go to the municipality of Bălți, 51 988 of which will be in Romanian, while 50 117 in Russian. For the other five localities, there will be made available 13 826 ballots, 10 215 of which in Romanian and 3 611 in Russian.

All the ballots will have the same size: 128 mm long and 140 mm wide. They will yet be of different colors. Those for the municipality of Bălți will be violet, while the rest will be pink.

The price of a ballot for the mayoral runoff in Bălți is 0.18 lei, while of a ballot for the other five settlements is 0.39 lei. The value of the print run is 23,771.04 lei.

A mayoral runoff vote on December 5 will take place in the municipality of Bălți, Opaci village of Căușeni district, Hârtop village of Cimișlia district, Cupcini town of Edineț district, Bălceana village of Hâncești district, and Cneazevca village of Leova district.
