A girl aged 11 from Drochia district was beaten, robbed and raped by an individual in a corn field, IPN has learned from the General Police Inspectorate.

The incident happened at about 7pm on July 21, not far from the native village of the girl. The man attacked the girl from behind, pulled her into the corn field, took her golden earrings and cross and then beat and raped her.

The police are investigating the case.
