11 broadcasters authorized to cover election campaign
Seven radio stations and four TV channels received authorization from the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) to cover the election campaign preceding the early legislative elections on November 28, Info-Prim Neo reports.
A total of 74 applications were submitted and the BCC rejected most of them as incomplete. The rejected broadcasters were given 3 more days to submit the required papers in correspondence with the regulation adopted by the Central Election Commission.
The following broadcasters were given the green light to cover the campaign, organize debates and air campaign advertizing: the TV channels Moldova 1, TV 6 Balti, Noroc TV, VTV Ungheni; and the radio stations Radio Moldova, Hit FM, Stil, Alla, Europa Plus, Radio 21 and Radio Noroc.
There are 105 authorized broadcasters in Moldova: 48 radio stations and 57 television channels.
