105 villages in Moldova have been reconnected to power network
As many as 105 villages of about 400 that remained without electricity in Moldova as a result of abundant precipitations accompanied by strong winds and snowfalls registered on January 3 and 4, have been supplied with electric power in early morning of Thursday, January 4.
According to a press release of the “Union Fenosa” Company in Moldova, the works on removing damage and resuming the power supply, in coordination with other energy system operators, will be carried on until all the consumers will be reconnected.
A lot of disconnections from the electric power network took place as a result of downed power lines. Short circuits have also caused power cuts.
In order to avoid accidents or any other incidents that can occur as a result of unauthorised repairs, the administration of the power supplier call on the people to be careful and categorically interdict them from repairing the networks.
Union Fenosa advises its customers to inform the energy enterprises or local public administrations in case of some damage or shortcomings. In the cases deemed as dangerous, Union Fenosa urges to take measures of ensuring inaccessibility to the site of the accident.
