103 schools shut amid heavy snowfall
Heavy snowfall in recent days interrupted classes in 103 schools across the country and children will have to attend school on Saturdays or during the winter vacation to catch up with the program, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Education Minister Leonid Bujor said the locations where schools closed were mostly in southern Moldova, including the Gagauz autonomy. In a number of schools classes closed only for the first through fourth graders.
The minister said the missed classes will be recovered during the vacation or on Saturdays, or pupils will do extra hours.
