Cigarettes valued at about 100,000 Moldovan lei were seized by Moldovan and Romanian customs officers in four separate cases of smuggling over 24 hours, Info-Prim Neo reports. Two of the cases were discovered by joint teams of Romanian and Moldovan customs officers, the other two were discovered at the Moldovan customs. The contraband cigarettes were confiscated by the Moldovan authorities, as the responsible persons, including one Italian national, will face charges under Article 287 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
