As many as 10,000 medical kits for individual protection will be distributed to travellers who cross Moldova’s border through the most popular frontier posts today in connection with the International Migrants Day that is celebrated on December 18, IPN reports.

The kit contains two individual protective masks, disinfectant, antibacterial wipes and brochures with information about the sanitary rules. “Besides aiming to support safe trips, we want to raise the travellers’ awareness of the importance of obeying the sanitary rules,” the Border Police posted on Facebook.

The event is staged on the initiative of the Border Police with support from the IOM Representative Office and UN Moldova in concert with the Office of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Chisinau.
