After 100% of the votes cast in the country and outside it were counted (2,150 election reports), the Party of Action and Solidary is shown to have gained 52.80% of the ballot. The Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists won 27.17% of the vote, while the Shor Party – 5.74%, IPN reports.
In the municipality of Chisinau, with 304 election reports being processed, PAS won over 56.77% of the ballot, BeCS – 28.4%, while the Shor Party – 3.63%.
Outside Moldova’s borders, with 150 election reports being processed, PAS gained 86.23%, the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi” – 2.78%, the Party “Democracy at Home” – 2.74%, while BeCS – 2.47% of the vote.
The voter turnout was 48.41% or 1.447 million electors. Over 212,000 Moldovans voted abroad. The electoral race involved 23 contestants – 20 parties, two electoral blocs and an independent candidate.
The election threshold for a party is 5%, for an electoral bloc is 7%, while for an independent candidate is 2%.
The seats that were to be distributed to the election contenders that didn’t pass the election threshold will be redistributed proportionally to the contenders that passed the threshold. This way, PAS won 63 seats of MP, BeCS – 32 seats, while the Shor Party – 6 seats.
