100 hospitals to be repaired and equipped with CNAM funding

A hundred medical and sanitary institutions will receive money from the National Company of Health Insurances (CNAM) for capital repairs and for procuring equipment. The hospitals have been selected after the first contest in 2014 of investment projects financed from CNAM’s fund for the development and modernization of public healthcare establishments, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the institution, 68 of the 100 projects concern capital repairs, 21 concern procurement of medical equipment and 11 concern construction of new premises.

76 projects have been won by public healthcare institutions from rural areas.

CNAM will allot over 107 million lei for the implementation of projects.
