The most modern technical vocation schools have chances to become excellence centers that will provide education services of a high quality, adjusted to the needs of the national economy, and will facilitate the cooperation with the economic entities. The Ministry of Education aims to create ten such centers in 2016-2017 so as to develop and optimize vocational education, IPN reports.
In a press club meeting, Deputy Minister of Education Loretta Handrabura said the reform of the technical vocational education necessitates concerted effort on the part of the education community and on the part of the economic community so that the demand for qualified specialists is satisfied.
An excellence center can consist of a consortium of technical vocational education institutions specialized in similar areas. Each excellence center, in partnership with the economic entities, will work out teaching aids for the specific area of activity and will be responsible for the attraction of investments and the development of new platforms with economic entities as partners in studies of a high quality.
