Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatîi had a meeting with representatives of a number of civil society organizations working in the field of security and defense. In a post on his Facebook page yesterday, Anatolie Nosatîi said the cooperation relations between the Ministry of Defense and civil society haven’t been put to good use during the past few years. “To extend the dialogue, I today had a meeting with a series of civil society organizations working in the field of security and defense,” he wrote, being quoted by IPN.
In the meeting held in a video conference format, the minister and the invitees discussed the development directions, the set priorities and actions planned for the immediate period and the Ministry of Defense’s view on civil society’s role in reforming the security and defense sector and in promoting security culture.
Anatolie Nosatîi thanked the representatives of the NGOs for accepting the invitation and for their willingness to cooperate with the Ministry of Defense. “Your support is very important for the Ministry of Defense for correctly addressing the security and defense problems in society,” stated the minister.
“I bank on mutual openness and on your support and contribution to developing the defense institution and to strengthening security culture by involvement and co-participation.”
