Zimbru Chisinau fails to qualify for Europa League groups

Moldova’s Zimbru Chisinau lost the match against the Greek team PAOK, of the Europa League playoff round, played away in the evening of August 28 by 0-4. It thus failed to qualify for the group phase, IPN reports.

The Greeks opened the score in the 11th minute. In the 53rd minute, Zimbru Chisinau player Jean-Marie Amani got the second yellow card and was thus eliminated.

Towards the end of the first half, PAOK scored the second goal as a result of a pass by Romanian player Razvan Rat to Stefanos Athanasiadis. The third goal was scored in the 79th minute, while the fourth – in the 84th minute.

The game played at home a week ago was won by Zimbru 1-0.
