Romanian Cultural Institute organises a project contest for cultural publications in Moldova

Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) organises a contest of projects related to cultural publications in Moldova. The contest is organised via the Department for Romanians Abroad, announces the Bucharest press, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Accorded to the cited source, the total financing sum is of EUR 100,000, but ICR has the right to increase the financing depending on the received proposals. Participants shall be publishers of cultural newspapers and magazines in Romanian from Moldova, registered as legal entities. Publications, which are financed from other sources, are not eligible. According to ICR, 7 positions on the following interest domains are contested - for cultural magazines dedicated to pupils/teenagers, for cultural magazines dedicated to students and young intellectuals, for cultural magazines dedicated to Basarabia’s history and culture, for cultural magazines outside Chisinau, for cultural publications dedicated to literary and artistic creation, for magazines dedicated to humanities, philosophy, theology, anthropology, for magazines dedicated to Romanian language and literature or having other educational-cultural specific. Projects have to be implemented during 2007. After selecting the winners, financing contracts will be concluded. ICR will cover the expenses for publishing, wages, as well as expenses related to the copyright, rent, banking commission. The documents for the contest should include the financing application, as well as other papers, whose list is posted on the ICR website (www.icr.ro). Applications can be submitted until February 22, 2007.
