Roberto Bordin is the new coach of the national football team of Moldova. The former technician of Sheriff replaced Engin Firat, IPN reports.
Bordin, 56, was twice National Division champion. Alongside Sheriff, he took part in the UEFA Europa League groups, managing to score four points in the encounters with Lokomotiv Moscow. In 2019, he won silver with Neftci Baku in the championship of Azerbaijan. As a footballer, he played for such teams as Parma, Atalanta and Napoli.
Roberto Bordin is expected to arrive in Moldova on February 12. He will sign a contract valid for a year. He will make his debut in Chisinau on March 25, in the match against the Faeroe Islands.
