Moldovan wrestler Pyotr Yanulov has won the UWW international tournament Poland Open. In the final of the 86 kg class, Yanulov beat the representative of the hosts Zbigniew Baranowski, IPN reports.
Petru Crăciun also qualified for the final, but lost to Romania’s Covaci in the 57 kg class. Another four Moldovan wrestlers won bronze medals: Nicolai Grahmez (65 kg), Mihail Sava (70 kg), Radu Lefter (97 kg) and Shamhan Jabrailov (125 kg).
In the team standings, Moldova ranked third.
Moldova’s Anastasia Nikita, Irina Rîngaci and Mariana Cherdivară enter the competition today.
