The President of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanîi, said that the new agreement that is about to be signed by members of the ruling coalition, The ACUM bloc and the PSRM, must be a roadmap for the government. The politician has not yet disclosed when will this agreement be signed.

"The new ACUM-PSRM agreement that is about to be signed must have a broad perspective. It should refer to the government's priority tasks, to the priority reforms that must be implemented and how the government will ensure the activity of social institutions in the field of culture, medicine and education”, said Zinaida Greceanîi in the NTV Moldova program "Glavnîi vopros".

The President of Parliament has avoided to say when will the agreement be signed. "We need to set our priorities for the current year, including reforms for which the government will assume responsibility. We will see what needs to be done next", says the Socialist.

Additionally, the head of the legislature says that the governing coalition must prove that it can run fair campaigns for local elections. "We will not attack each other. I believe that our coalition partners also understand the situation, not just the Socialists. We need to show people why one candidate is better than another, because these are local elections. (...) This must be an electoral contest based on electoral programs, not on mutual attacks", said the politician.

Zinaida Greceanîi added that candidates running for the mayor and councilor positions on behalf of the PSRM will use the party symbol and, analogous to parliamentary elections, the group will not support independent candidates. PSRM candidates will run for both mayor and councillor positions in all settlements.

Asked about the so-called "non-aggression pact" which is said to be signed between the Socialists and ACUM bloc members for the next local elections, Zinaida Greceanîi answered that such agreements must be individually signed by opposing candidates that run for the same office.

Local elections will be held on October 20.
