Zimbru suffered their fourth consecutive loss in the National Division, despite playing Wednesday with spectators attending for the first time this season. Vlad Goian’s side lost 0-2 to Speranța.
The hosts’ goals were scored by Vladyslav Pavlenko (min.40) and Arcadie Rusu (min.55).
“We deserved this victory because we dominated practically the whole game. My only regret is that we let Zimbru have some scoring opportunities in the final part of the game,” said Speranța manager Iurie Osipenco.
With this win, Speranța get two points closer to Dacia-Buiucani (13 points), as Zimbru with their 5 points remain on the penultimate spot of the table.
Today, Codru will encounter FC Florești, as another Matchday 11 fixture - Sheriff vs. St. Gheorghe - has been postponed to allow the former to take on Dundalk in the Europa League third qualifying round.
