Zimbru Chisinau beat Zaria Balti 1-0 away within the 17th stage of the National Football Division, IPN reports.
The only goal was scored by Franck Yameogo in the 63rd minute. As a result of this victory, Zimbru came closer to Petrocub, being only six points behind. Petrocub lost away to Sfantul Gheorghe 0-1.
“I hope our game will improve and we will score victories easier than today,” Zimbru coach Sorin Colceag told a news conference.
Elsewhere, Speranta defeated Dinamo-Auto 1-0. In the evening of August 20, Milsami plays the derby match against Sheriff.
