Zimbru beat Speranta 2-1 in the 14th stage of the National Division. As a result of this victory, Zimbru climbed to the fifth spot in the rankings, IPN reports.
Zagaevski opened the score in the 17th minute, but Planic tied for the guests in the 76th minute. The victory goal was scored by Brazilian player Duglas in the 81st minute.
“It was a hard victory for which we struggled. I’m glad that we found force to score after we were tied,” said the coach of Zimbru Iurie Osipenko.
“Our play wasn’t bad, but we lacked again concentrator,” stated the coach of Speranta Cristian Efros.
The other two matches of the stage ended in a draw. Dacia tied with Zaria 1-1, while Spicul drew with Sfantul Gheorghe 1-1. On October 21, Petrocub meets Milsami, while on October 22, the leading Sheriff plays Dinamo-Auto away.
