“Zdob și Zdub” and Advahov Brothers Orchestra to represent Moldova at Eurovision

The band “Zdob şi Zdub” and the Advahov Brothers Orchestra will represent the Republic of Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, which will take place in Torino during May 10-14, with the song “Trenuleţul” (“Little Train”), IPN reports.

The second Eurovision 2022 National Selection in the format of live auditions involved 28 singers and 29 songs. One of the contenders competed with two songs.

According to the organizers, the LIVE Auditions” stage that was won by the song “Trenulețul” excluded a stage show, a ballet, decorations, special effects and live background vocals.

Torino will host the 66th Eurovision Song Contest 2022 after last year’s edition of the competition was won by the Italian rock band “Maneskin”.

The Republic of Moldova has taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2005. Last year Moldova was represented by Natalia Gordienko with the song “Sugar”. She ranked 13th.
