Three young men from Taraclia, who are accused of perverse actions of a sexual character and attempt to rape a teenage girl from the same locality, were placed under arrest for 30 days. The suspects didn’t turn 18, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases said that searches were carried out at suspects’ homes. There were ordered a number of examinations, including medical-legal, chemical and biological ones. A large number of people are to be questioned.
The three suspects were arrested on March 26 at the request of prosecutors. Rape attempt and the commission of violent acts of a sexual character carry a jail term of five to 12 years.
The case happened in a village of Taraclia district on the night of March 16. The girl is slightly over 16.
On March 25, by order of Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo, the criminal case was withdrawn from the Taraclia Police Inspectorate and transferred to the General Police Inspectorate’s General Criminal Investigation Division for continuing the investigation, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases.
