The Young Democrats are proud of their country and invite fellow Moldovans to show their patriotism in a Facebook photo contest called “My Soul is Moldova”. The PDM youth organization launched the contest today, August 22, with a street action near the monument of Stephen the Great in Chisinau, IPN learned from a press release of the party.
The youth of the Democratic Party distributed T-shirts with the logo of the online contest to passers-by and took photos with them.
“PDM encourages Moldovans to make a heartfelt declaration for Moldova in the eve of its Independence Day. We chose to greet passers-by in an important place for Moldovans – the monument of the prince Stephen the Great. We, the youth of PDM, are proud of our history, people and beauty of the motherland”, said Igor Usturoi, head of PDM' s Youth Organization in Chisinau.
The press release informs that all those interested in participating in PDM's online photo contest can upload a photo about Moldova and its traditions until the eve of the Independence Day by accessing the app “My Soul is Moldova” on the party's Facebook page www.facebook.com/PDMoldova/. The photo that gets the most likes will win a professional camera. The awarding event is scheduled for August 27.
