Young cooks from Moldova to participate in the first Culinary Festival for Youth

The Association of Culinary Art organizes during October 11-12, 2006, the first Culinary Festival for Youth entitled “Culinary Art – tradition for centuries”. 31 young cooks, as well as students of the specialized institutions will participate in the vent. The festival will be organized at international scale. Until now 9 young cooks from Romania, Ukraine, Azerbaijan confirmed their participation in the festival.
The event includes organization of the young cooks and pastry cooks Championships, personal exhibitions of renowned specialists, exhibition of equipment, specialized inventory for public alimentation enterprises, professional clothing for the persons working in the public alimentation field. As well a master-class under the patronage of Elena Sucikova, deputy director of the Chocolate School from Msocow “A. Korkunov” will be organized. She is the winner of many gold medals at different international competitions. As well within the frameworks of the festival the title “Master in culinary art” will be bestowed and a concert with the participation of the composer and singer Ian Raiburg will be organized.
The event aims at attracting young specialists in actions meant at increasing the professional prestige, revival and development of the national cuisine’s traditions.
The winners will be awarded gold, silver, bronze medals and money prizes. As well, master diplomas and participation certificates will be given to all participants. The winners will be included in the national youth team of the Republic of Moldova, with which the Association will participate in festivals and international contests.
The actions organized by the Culinary Art Association, as well as the Culinary Art Festival, recently organized in Chisinau, the intention to become full-rights member of the World Organization of Culinary Societies (WACS) aims at professional improvement of cooks from Moldova. The Association works more than one year, being one of a kind in Moldova, and its most important goals are protecting the rights and interests of its members, contributing to the professional improvement of the personnel working in the food industry, as well as facilitating the participation of cooks from Moldova to different contests and international exhibitions, in order to promote local culinary art.
