Vitalie Bunici won silver in the Under 23 European Freestyle Wrestling Championships that took place in Turkey, IPN reports.
Before reaching the final of the 61 kg weight class, Bunici defeated Turkey’s Ertugrul Kahveci and Azerbaijan’s Elchin Valiyev. In the final, he lost to Magomedrasul Idrisov of Russia 1-12.
In the 65 kg class, Maxim Salcutan beat Dzianis Maksimau of Belraus, but was eliminated by Turkey’s Utku Dogan in the quarterfinals.
