Radu Lefter gave a historic performance. He became the first Moldovan freestyle wrestler to win the title of European Under 23 champion, IPN reports.
Radu Lefter scored three victories in the 97 kg weight category, against Greece’s Angelos Kouklaris, Georgia’s Merab Suleimanishvili and Russia’s Soslan Dzhagaev.
At the competition in Baku, Sergei Cilcic (65 kg), Constantin Kirilov (70 kg) and Ion Demian (92 kg) won bronze medals.
