The works to repair the sidewalks in the historical center of Chisinau, on Mitropolit Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni St and Alexandr Pushkin St, in the perimeter of the streets Alexei Mateevici and Ierusalim, have started, IPN reports, with reference to the Chisinau City Hall.
The rehabilitation of sidewalks on the two arteries, including of the green areas and street lighting, ramps near pedestrian crossings and tactile paving, will last for about two months and a half. There will be placed vases with flowers and urban decorative elements. Parking places will be set up in parts.
The facades of ten buildings of historical importance and monuments situated on the two streets will be lit decoratively.
The costs of works were assessed at 22.8 million lei. The money is allocated by the Government of the Republic of Moldova. A part of the costs will be covered with the financial support provided by business entities.
