The Public Amenities Division of Chisinau last week launched the works to remove insects and rats from basements and waste storage rooms. Such works were executed in 137 apartment buildings in Ciocana district, on an area of about 80,000 square meters. This week the works will cover another 264 blocks in Botanica district, IPN reports.
In the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, the Division’s head Ion Burdiumov said that for 2022 the Division was allocated 3 million lei for executing works to remove insects and rats from basements and waste storage rooms of apartment buildings.
Together with the adoption of the budget, a tender contest was announced at the beginning of February. The procurement procedure took place in the middle of March, but a number of challenges were filed and the Division recently won the case.
Ion Burdiumov noted that owing to the challenges submitted by a number of business entities, the works started later, on July 4. The timetable of works in the municipality of Chisinau, with the dates and addresses, will be made public today. Such works will also be performed at the request of dwellers.
