The teams involved in the cleaning of the capital city, under the management of the General Housing and Amenities Division, worked uninterruptedly during the night as well to deal with the consequences of the heavy rain that fell on Wednesday afternoon. The public transport stations and sidewalks were meticulously cleaned and a significant amount of sludge was removed from underground passages, IPN reports.

The workers also used 24 cleaning machines. Massive cleanup was required at the intersection of Ion Inculeț St and Nicolae Testemitanu St from where sludge was taken away.

The workers paid increased attention to cleaning public transport stations and sidewalks. The municipal teams will be further mobilized to perform city cleaning and waste disposal works. About 400 employees are involved in these operations, according to the General Housing and Amenities Division.
