The national women's Under-19 football squad was defeated by Wales 0-5 in the second UEFA European U-19 Championship qualifying match, Info-Prim Neo reports.
As a result, Moldova slipped to bottom in the third preliminary group.
In another group match, Denmark demolished Bosnia and Herzegovina 7-0, the victory assuring the Scandinavian team a place in the 2010 finals.
The last qualifying matches will take place on September 24, when Moldova faces Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Wales plays Denmark.
