The woman who killed her minor daughter while under the influence of a horror movie was sentenced to 12 years behind bars. The case happened in Tomai village of Leova district last September, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, prosecutors established that the woman stabbed her six-year-old daughter with a knife for several times after she drank alcohol and watched a horror movie. When being questioned, the woman said she does not remember how she committed the crime as she had hallucinations, being under the influence of the movie she watched. The psychological evaluation ordered in this case revealed that the woman was mentally healthy.
The 34-year-old culprit is divorced. She has an elder daughter aged 15 who is in the care of relatives.
The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
