A woman was admitted to intensive care at the Chisinau Emergency Hospital with very serious injuries received as a result of a traffic accident.
Chisinau Road Police Inspector Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occurred on Sihastrului Street at 18.15. The 30-year-old jaywalking woman was hit by a Volkswagen-Passat car, driven by a 24-year-old man. The woman received severe injuries and was urgently taken to hospital.
A woman, 53, who was hit on Dacia Blvd by a Mazda-323 car at 6.50 pm, and a young man, 24, that was hit by a Fiat-Tipo automobile at 8.50 pm, at the junction of Stefan cel Mare Blvd and Banulescu-Bodoni street, suffered mental shocks.
At 6.40 pm, at the intersection of Tudor Vladimirescu and Kiev streets, a Mercedes-300 car, driven by a 45-year-old man, native of Criuleni, collided with an Opel-Astra automobile, which in turn ran into another car, Nissan, which was stationing. The passenger of Opel car, aged 6, suffered mental shocks and was taken to “Valentin Ignatenco” Hospital.
17 road accidents, resulted in 5 injured persons, including a child, were registered in Chisinau on Monday. Traffic inspectors have traced 13 drivers under the influence of alcohol.
In January, in Chisinau there were registered 98 road accidents that killed 14 people and injured another 110.
