The winners of the National Contest of Photographs “Moldova’s women – country’s hope” became known. These were awarded within the national conference “Gender equality in the Republic of Moldova: perspective of civil society”. The event forms part of the campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence”, IPN reports.
The first prize was awarded to Vlaicu Bunduchi from Chisinau. The second prize was given to two creation teams – Iana Grecihina and Raluca Grosu from Balti and Daniela Danuta, Victoria and Daniela Lungu from Anenii-Noi – Chisinau. The third prize went to Mihaela Culcinschi from Merenii Noi. Diplomas of excellence were handed over to Sergiu Ciorescu and Nichita Birkin from Chisinau, said the organizers – the Platform for Gender Equality and Gender-Centru.
The photo contest is aimed at sensitizing the population, especially the young people, to the role of women in the life of society. The contest involved young people from Moldova aged between 18 and 30.
Eighteen of the works that competed in the contest were exhibited in the conference hall of the Center “Artico”, which houses the national conference “Gender equality in the Republic of Moldova: perspective of civil society”, organized by East Europe Foundation and the Platform for Gender Equality.
