Teodor Cârnaț, of the People’s Will Party, said the negotiations on the establishment of cooperation relations in Parliament are being mimicked and this is witnessed for the first time in Moldova’s history. The issue was developed in the talk show “Red Button” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

According to him, the discussions are mimicked specifically by the PSRM. “I cannot explain how the whole Socialist parliamentary group could leave for Moscow to receive particular instructions from the so-called “emperor” of Russia Vladimir Putin before the negotiations,” stated Teodor Cârnaț, noting that this “flirt” between the PSRM and the Bloc ACUM is rather detrimental to the bloc as this will be penalized in the eventual snap elections.

Elena Bodnarenko, executive secretary of the Central Committee of the Party of Communists, stated the discussions between the Bloc ACUM and the PSRM form part of a scenario designed by the Democratic Party when the electoral system was replaced. There is no will in the two parties to reach an agreement and the discussions are thus simulated. “The fact that no one wants to concede anything makes us believe that this is only a game staged for the voters so that the parties could later say they tried to discuss, but could not come to terms and will thus implement the scenario proposed by the Democratic Party,” stated Elena Bodnarenko.

Ex-MP Valeriu Ghiletski agreed that the discussions between the PSRM and ACUM are being mimicked. He noted the Republic of Moldova is now in a difficult situation also because of the way in which the election campaign was conducted. “The recent election campaign was not a competition of ideas, but rather a struggle between people. Excessive polarization in society was reached,” he stated.

Political commentator Corneliu Ciurea said the question whether the negotiations between the Socialists and the Bloc ACUM are mimicked is crucial and there is no response to this now. However, an attempt is made to have a dialogue, but the incompatibility between the two parties is so big that this could fail. It is a dialogue between two parties that should not discuss too much as they have very different viewpoints.
