Weightlifter Tudor Ciobanu has become European youth champion in the 96 kg weight class, IPN reports.
In Bucharest he had a total lift of 355 kg, beating the Russian Artur Babayan (354 kg) and the Ukrainian Andrii Bozhuk (353 kg). Tudor Ciobanu also won gold in the clean and jerk style, with 198 kg.
Previously, Ecaterina Tretiacova became Under 23 European champion in the 81 kg class.
