Ecaterina Tretiacova won a silver medal at the European Youth Weightlifting Championships. In the 69kg class, Tretiacova ranked second in the general, clean and jerk and snatch events, IPN reports.
She lifted 115 kg in clean and jerk and 97 kg in snatch. It should be noted that Moldovan weightlifter Ion Terna won silver in the 62kg class in the same championships earlier.
Ecaterina Kilchik ranked fifth in the 63kg class.
At the European Youth Weightlifting Championships held in Israel, Moldova is also represented by Andrian Motricala, 105kg class, who is yet to compete.
