Weapons and ammunition found in Taraclia. Three men face 7 years in prison

Police officers seized two weapons and over 150 cartridges after conducting searches at the homes of three men in Taraclia. The suspects, aged between 54 and 60, face up to seven years in prison for unlawful possession of ammunition, IPN reports.

According to the police, two weapons, one of which is pneumatic, 154 cartridges of different calibers, two metal containers with substance, tools and components intended for the manual manufacture of cartridges in domestic conditions were found during the searches.

The items are to be examined by experts to determine if they were used and in what conditions.

Unlawful possession of weapons and ammunition is punishable by 2 to 7 years in jail, with  ban on possessing, carrying and using a weapon.
