The Extraordinary Public Health Commission of Chisinau municipality in the morning of April 3 decided that walks in the parks and stays at playgrounds will be permitted during the state of emergency. The announcement was made by the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban through Facebook Live, IPN reports.
Acceding to the mayor, the jurists of the Chisinau City Hall found a formula for legally specifying the possibility of staying in parks in the municipal commission’s decision. This way, presence in parks is permitted, but in groups of at most three persons or in the circle of the family. Mask wearing remains mandatory. At playgrounds, the parents must also wear masks.
“Go to the parks, squares, wooded areas and forest-parks of Chisinau, but we insistently ask you to obey the safety norms,” stated Ion Ceban. He noted they will make relevant recommendations to the Extraordinary Public Health Commission.
Parliament on March 31 decided to declare a state of emergency in Moldova for a period of 60 days, between April 1 and May 30. The next day, the National Commission for Exceptional Situations introduced a special movement regime for the residents of Bălți and Chisinau. In both of the municipalities, the persons cannot leave homes between 11pm and 5am as from April 3. The trips for professional purposes, to the doctor or the drugstore are an exception. The Commission banned the movement and stay of persons in public places, such as parks, playgrounds, sports grounds and recreational areas. All those who will be outside homes are obliged to have identification papers on them.
