The fact that Parliament voted in the Government represents a step forward for the country. The issue was discussed in a special program edition on “Publika TV” channel, IPN reports.

Vice director of the Institute of Legal and Political Research of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Victor Juc welcomed the installation of the Government. “If we weigh things, a minority government will definitely prevail over early elections. The February 18 vote surely caused different opinions. They compare Iurie Leanca’s image, which is a very good one, with the image of Chiril Gaburici, who is not well known. But the important thing is that we have a Government. Now the newly invested Government has to carry out three main tasks: to ensure the economic security of the state, to ensure the political-military security and to unblock the economic relations with Russia,” he stated.

Mayor of Hancesti Alexandru Botnari said he has high hopes for the new Government. “I know personally Gaburici and know his capacities. He is a balanced person. We are glad that he came from the business sector. I’m convinced that the situation in the country will change swiftly. I’m surprised that Gaburici accepted this post at a time when the situation in the country is so difficult and the people are very disappointed,” he stated.

Former president of the Constitutional Court Victor Puscas expressed his conviction that the Gaburici Government will cope with the situation and will make changes, saying only time will show how efficient these are. “Many of the ministers are good specialists. I’m confident that this Cabinet will continue the European integration course,” he stated.

Journalist Valeriu Renita expressed his indignation at the wave of criticism leveled at the new Premier, saying it is not justified. “It’s easy to hit with the cudgel or kick. We should be patient and will see what the new Cabinet does. I’m glad that a young man who knows what he does was named to head the Government,” he said.
