By 5:30pm, the voter turnout in today’s legislative elections was 43.1%, which represents over 1,258,000 voters, IPN reports.
Per CEC’s live data, 52.97% voters were women and 47.03% men. The most active were the voters in the age group 56-70 years (33.8%), followed by the age group 41-55 years (29.9%). And only 7.9% of the voters who cast their ballots so far were young people aged 18-25 yars.
Polling stations are open until 9:00PM.
There is no voter turnout threshold in these elections, but for the simultaneous referendum to be valid (it will remain non-binding either way) at least a third of eligible voters must participate.
