Vladimir Voronin received congratulations from several heads of state on the occasion of 15 years from the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova.
President of the USA, George W. Bush expresses in his message his best regards to the Moldovan nation on the occasion of the 15-year anniversary of independence. The message also mentions that the United States of America firmly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
The message delivered by the Romanian president Traian Basescu reiterates the intentions to consolidate bilateral relations with Moldova, in consent with the hopes and expectations of the citizens of the two countries are.
President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczynski, addresses his congratulations on the national holiday of the Republic of Moldova and states that during those 15 years of independence, Moldova has become a valued partner on the international arena, as well as a security agent of our continent. The president’s message also states that Poland supports Moldova to follow the path to the European Union integration.
The head of state was also congratulated on the Day of the Republic by the President of Tunisia, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, general governor of the Australian Federation, general-mayor Michael Jeffery, Emperor of Japan Akihito, King Abdullah the second of Jordan, general director of the United Nations for Food and Agriculture, Jaques Diouf, president of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic, King of Belgium Albert, president of the Republic of India, Abdul Kalam etc.
The Republic of Moldova has celebrated the 15th anniversary from the Declaration of Independence on August 27.
