Voronin and Filat to discuss election of President

Prime Minister Vlad Filat has announced he will have a meeting with the leader of the Communists Party Vladimir Voronin on Friday afternoon to discuss the election of the head of state on December 7, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I will meet with Vladimir Voronin later today. I hope we will have a sincere discussion and will reach a consensus as regards the necessity of voting in the President of Moldova,” Filat said. Moldova's Acting President Mihai Ghimpu said he will be considering whether to have a meeting with Voronin or not. According to press reports, Vladimir Voronin announced that today he will also have a meeting with the leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu, who is the Alliance for European Integration's candidate for the presidency.
