The ex-Transnistrian leader Yevgheny Shevchuk, who, on a social networking site, wrote that he was in Chisinau, is no longer on Moldova’s territory, IPN reports.
This is the reply made by the leader of the Party of Communists Vladimir Voronin to Lib-Dem Tudor Deliu who, in the July 6 sitting of Parliament, suggested questioning the director of the Security and Intelligence Service Mihai Balan and Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Gheorghe Balan in connection with the information about Shevchuk’s presence on the right bank of the Nistru.
“Mister Deliu, you are late! Shevchuk left the territory of the Republic of Moldova yesterday evening,” stated Vladimir Voronin.
The proposal of Tudor Deliu was rejected.
The former leader of Transnistria Yevgheny Shevchuk is accused by the Transnistrian regime of corruption and abuse of power when managing a stabilization fund created by Shevchuk in the form of a nonprofit association. Last week, the Supreme Soviet of Transnistria withdrew the immunity of Shevchuk. This wrote that he left the region because he was persecuted by an influential businessman.
