The Communist Party head Vladimir Voronin said that his party understands that the dismissal of the Government will lead to early elections. “Don’t try to make a new alliance overnight. Regardless of today’s decision, the PCRM calls on the whole country to seek early legislative elections,” Voronin said in his speech after Prime Minister Vlad Filat rendered a report in Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We witnessed two months of mutual accusations, accusations of corruption, incompetence, connection with the criminal world, bankruptcy of banks. We reached the conclusion that all the representatives of the current government should resign and should hide because of this shame,” said the Communist leader.
Vladimir Voronin stressed that corruption thrives in the country and the Government does nothing to stop it. “The order by phone became a norm. Who is the main evil and who tapped the phones or who was tapped now doesn’t count. Corruption became a component part of the power. The money from grants is stolen openly, but the grants are now seven times larger than during the Communist rule. Only the castles of ministers, judges and other officials now develop in the country,” he stated.
The censure motion against the Government, which is to be debated by Parliament today, can be passed by the votes of at least 51 MPs.
