The PAS MP, ACUM bloc, Vladimir Bolea said that after local elections there will be two distinct groups in the new Chișinău Municipal Council (CMC), similar to the Parliament configuration - the PAS group and the PPDA group. According to him, each party will put forward nine new councilors to the CMC. Relevant decisions on this topic will be made within each party, after which the ACUM bloc will present the common position. The statements were made at an NTV Moldova show.

"Knowing the strengths of our delegates to the Municipal Council, knowing the strengths of the Socialists and of Victor Chironda (Forța Noua councilor), I think that by working together with these people, we can create a wonderful and efficient council of Chișinău, which can implement changes in the municipality", said Vladimir Bolea.

Socialist MP Bogdan Țîrdea, at the same show, said that a potential PSRM and ACUM majority in the CMC would have 41 out of 51 seats on the council, which would be an unprecedented majority in the CMC and would be the equivalent of 81 MPs out of 101. According to him, this coalition would secure extraordinary stability and functionality.

Bogdan Țîrdea said that the national example of the political agreement between ACUM and PSRM can be emulated on the local level. "We must abide by this agreement and we must show that we can come to an agreement regarding Chișinău. If ACUM has the majority on a council, their representative should be chairperson, if the PSRM has a majority, our representative should be chair. This approach will allow us to reform the entire country", said the Socialist. In his opinion, the ACUM candidate for the position of general mayor of the capital, Andrei Năstase, announced that the ACUM bloc will not form a coalition with the Socialists in the CMC, because he needs the votes of former candidates Octavian Țîcu, Dorin Chirtoacă, and others.

Following October 20 local elections for CMC, the Socialist Party obtained 37.60% of the votes, while the ACUM bloc got 33.30% of the votes.
