We all need to mobilize so that the socialists can’t do as they please in the capital, Vlad Turcanu said at the event of launching the Romanian Popular Party (PPR)’s, candidacy for the position of capital mayor, IPN reports.
"We know that the natural instinct of socialists is to turn this city into a Soviet one. Their hatred for everything that is Romanian clouds their reason,” said Vlad Turcanu.
In his speech, the PPR candidate said that corruption in the city hall was due to excessive contact between civil servants and businessmen. “Entrepreneurs need permits. They have to receive them at one-stop shops, where they can receive them or they can be rejected,” said Vlad Turcanu.
The PPR candidate mentioned that it was necessary to have an active capital city, by boosting the labor market, by starting the infrastructure restoration works and by attracting local and foreign investors while providing facilities.
Another aspect of Vlad Țurcanu's program is the efficiency of city hall’s sanitation services, to be achieved by outsourcing. "If a city hall service does not have enough money or a team of professionals, a tender must be organized so that a company that wants to turn the problem into a business could win," said the PPR candidate.
Installing intelligent traffic lights to streamline the traffic, helping suburbs to overcome the "dead end" state of affairs, setting up sports, educational and creative clubs for children, creating openness towards Romania and Europe are other aspects of the electoral program presented by Vlad Turcanu.
