Residents of the capital are accustomed to decisions being taken without considering their opinion, that is why, as mayor, I will be interested in the priorities of Chisinau. At a press conference, Vlad Țurcanu, the candidate of the Romanian Popular Party for capital’s mayoralty, has mentioned that he will conduct surveys online or through public companies and institutions in order to understand what the priorities of Chisinau are, IPN reports.
"If the priority is related to infrastructure, then we will deal with it first. If the traffic decongestion is to be pursued, then that will happen,” said the PPR candidate.
Vlad Turcanu has said that there are no quick solutions for the capital, due to the fact that the situation has been steadily deteriorating over time. "I think the capital’s major priority is related to the treatment plant, which brings a moral and physical discomfort. The current wastewater treatment plant does not cope anymore with the problem,” said the PPR candidate. He added that there was a need to find sources of financing for building a new treatment plant in the amount of about 120 million euros.
The PPR candidate has stated that there are several solutions for decongesting the traffic. "Albișoara street can be extended beyond the Zorile factory, so that one can travel from Botanica sector to Calea Ieșilor without passing through the center of the capital". A solution would be to turn Bucharest street into a one-way three-lane road, in the sense of circulating from Botanica to the center," noted Vlad Turcanu.
