Vlad Kulminski, executive director of the Institute for Strategic Initiatives, anticipates a technical alliance will be formed by the Socialists and the Democrats and snap elections will most probably not take place as the Democrats will keep the instruments of power under any kind of cooperation. The issue was developed in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.

“I think negotiations between the Democrats and the Socialists already take place. These probably never stopped. The negotiations are held without video cameras and center on such substantial issues as the division of the state institutions,” stated Vlad Kulminski.

Political pundit Victor Gurău noted no negotiations will be held until May 26, when European Parliament elections will take place. A lot depends on these elections. Until then, any move made by any of the heavy players will be doomed to failure. “We most probably head for snap elections. Currently, I do not have arguments in favor of the “Dodon-Plahotniuc duo” that was so munch advertised. In politics, everyone plays the own part and wants to get the best result,” he stated.

According to the expert, a coalition between ACUM and the Socialists would suit the Democrats as no Parliament during several months managed to de-oligarchize the county and the administrative resources will fully remain in the hands of the PDM in the period. Furthermore, the Democrats would not form part of a negotiation process.
