The chairman of the PLDM Vlad Filat called upon the PL to vote for the Government of the Political Alliance for the European Moldova. On social networking sites, the Liberal-Democratic leader wrote that the PL has the historical chance to show that not the posts and instruments are the values that represent this party, IPN reports.
“We are to hold a very responsible exercise – the installation of a pro-European government. It depends on the PL if we have a pro-European government headed by Iurie Leanca or the county will be pushed towards early elections. It’s now time for the Liberal Party to show its sincere attachment to the assumed values,” wrote Vlad Filat.
According to him, the PL’s vote for the new Government will create the preconditions needed for efficient cooperation with this party in achieving the common objective of Europeanizing Moldova.
On January 23, the PLDM and PDM signed an agreement on the formation of the Political Alliance for the European Moldova. After the consultations held by the head of state with the parliamentary groups, the leader of the PL Mihai Ghimpe said they will decide whether to vote Iurie Leanca Prime Minister or not in a meeting of the party’s Political Bureau. The date when this meeting will take place is not yet known.
