Asked if he will annul his statement concerning the withdrawal of the PLDM from the Alliance for European Integration, Vlad Filat answered evasively, saying the avoidance of early legislative elections is now the most important goal. “If necessary, we will return to the agreement on the formation of the AEI. But I don’t think that this matters now. It is important that all the components of the AEI return to the negotiating table,” said the Premier. President Nicolae Timofti asked Vlad Filat to renounce the decision to withdraw from the AEI, while Marian Lupu – not to insist on the Premier’s resignation and on his own resignation. In a news conference on February 27, Nicolae Timofti said he discussed with the three leaders of the AEI and believes that the political crisis can be overcome.
