“The European Commission’s announcement of the provision of €600 million, besides the economic dimension, is a powerful political signal that places back the Republic of Moldova on the path of European integration started in 2009. Blocked in 2015 by the Plahotniuc-Dodon duo by quasi-total capture of the state, the European course of the Republic of Moldova benefits from a new chance through this assistance of the European Union,” ex-Premier Vlad Filat said, referring to the Economic Recovery Plan approved by the EC for Moldova for the next three years.

“The support provided by the EU will become operational only if there are pro-European partners in Chisinau, who would be profoundly committed to coming closer to the EU. This support will rise considerably if the Republic of Moldova fulfills the agreed commitments undertaken before the European Union. The five pillars on which the Economic Recovery Plan for the Republic of Moldova is based (public finance management and economic governance; competitive economy, trade & SMEs; infrastructure; education & employability; and the rule of law & justice reform) will ensure not only the reformation and modernization of the state, but also better interoperability with the EU,” Vlad Filat posted on Facebook, being quoted by IPN.

“As regards Igor Dodon and the attacks on the development partners, these simply stem from envy, impotence and frustration. In fact, the rebuilt Plahotniuc-Dodon-Voronin alliance is “an alliance of isolated persons”. During the rule of each of these, the Republic of Moldova was isolated at external level and the development partners ignored them. Regrettably, the citizens were those who suffered and lost. If the development partners isolated tem, we, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, should also isolate them and should continue our way to Europe!”.
